Youth drowned in reservoir

Thiruvananthapuram: A 28-year-old youth drowned in the reservoir of the Aruvikkara dam when he slipped and fell into the water around 2-30 p.m. on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Krishna Kumar, a resident of Vattavilakathu Veedu, Kanjirampara, in the city.

Hospital sources said the youth, working with a firm at Pattom, had gone to the dam along with his friends.

The youth was fished out and rushed to Medical College Hospital. Hospital sources said the youth was brought dead to the casualty wing.

He is survived by his father, K. Ramachandran Nair, mother, Subhadhra, and brother, Harikumar.
