Union Minister calls for promotion of the medical discipline

Bangalore: Homoeopathy was well suited for the people of our country, especially the underprivileged, for curing various ailments, as it was affordable, M.V. Rajasekharan, Union Minister of State for Planning, said here on Sunday.

Speaking at a function organised to felicitate well-known homoeopathy practitioner B.T. Rudresh on his 50th birthday and to celebrate 25 years of his homoeopathy practice, Mr. Rajasekharan said homoeopathy as a medical discipline should be promoted because it was within the reach of the weaker sections of society.

Rama Jois, former Governor of Bihar and Jharkhand, said our culture was based on simple living practices and high thinking and homoeopathy was suited well for this kind of culture.

A compilation of articles by Dr. Rudresh based on his homeopathy practice and cases handled by him, called "Novu Naguva Kayakadalli Kanda Baduku Belaku" was released on the occasion. Shivarathreeshwara Deshikendra Swamiji of Suttur Math was present.
