CHANDIGARH: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda will inaugurate a synthetic hockey grass surface at Government Senior Secondary School at Shahbad on April 17. An official spokesman of the Sports and Youth Affairs Department said here on Saturday that this synthetic hockey grass surface had been laid at an estimated cost of Rs. 3.81 crores. He added that the Government had selected Shahbad Markanda to lay this synthetic hockey grass surface in view the performance of the Girls Hockey team of the town. About 25 girls from Shahbad had represented India in various international hockey tournaments.
