KOZHIKODE: Members of the Calicut Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) will visit China to study at first hand, the trends in the upcoming trade sector in that country in a globalised market economy. The chamber members are going to China to visit the 99th Chinese Export Commodities fair being held at Canton there. The team will also visit Beijing and Shanghai. The visit comes at a time when industrial enterprises in Malabar, especially in Kozhikode, are being shut down, and there is a general glut in the trade-commerce sector, a release from the chamber secretary points out. The CCCI members will also enquire into how Chinese products can be brought to Malabar directly, and the ways and means of producing quality products at moderate prices.
