NEW DELHI: A two-day Second International Workshop on Advance Techniques of PCNL, said to be one of the most advanced and successful methods for removal of kidney stones, concluded in the Capital on Sunday. Organised by the Lions Kidney Hospital and Urology Research Institute, the workshop was inaugurated by Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Saturday. The workshop saw the participation of senior urologists from India, Pakistan, Nepal, China and Afghanistan. An important feature of the workshop was that six senior urologists performed 12 PCNL procedures that were telecast live with the help of six cameras on three screens. Later, a detailed discussion was held on the subject by the participants. According to a release issued by the Institute, the workshop was aimed at promoting PCNL so that it reaches every corner of the country.
