Hyderabad: St. Andrew's High School `A' defeated Dilsukhnagar Public School by 10 wickets in the first match of the MAA Cable Challenge trophy inter-school cricket tournament here on Sunday. Sabita Indra Reddy, Minister for IT and Mines, inaugurated the tournament in the presence of several dignitaries. Mahalakshmi Jewellers will present a gold coin to the Man of the Match in every match. The scores: Dilsukhnagar Public School 54 lost to St. Andrews `A' 58 without loss. Man of the Match: Hashvardhan (St. Andrews HS).
APHC lawyers win title
The Andhra Pradesh High Court lawyers XI won the title in the Andhra Pradesh Lawyers cricket tournament here on Sunday, defeating City Civil Court lawyers by seven wickets. The score: City Civil Court 85 lost to AP High Court 88 for three. Man of the Match: N.Vijay (High Court XI). Man of Series: K. Sunil Goud (High Court XI).
KTF's tennis clinic
A three day special instructional tennis clinic will be organised by the Kiran's Tennis Foundation (KTF) at four centres, Meridian School (Banjara Hills), BVB Public School (Jubilee Hills), Madhapur courts near Orchids School and Centenary High School behind Parade Ground, Secunderabad, in May. Former State and National players will be involved in conducting the clinic, which will have courtside drills, skill demonstrations, ball machine drills, video replays, and sports medicine lectures.
