Over 5,000 register for model test

CHENNAI: More than 5,000 students from Tamil Nadu have registered themselves for The Hindu Education Plus - Aspire State-level model test for BE/MBBS entrance.

Nearly half these students were from Chennai.

The response from centres such as Coimbatore is encouraging. The model test will be held on April 22 - 23.

Preparatory meet

Addressing a preparatory meet for the conduct of the test on Saturday, the vice-president (Circulation), The Hindu , M.R. Sivakumar, said the test would help candidates to prepare for the Tamil Nadu Professional Course Entrance Examination (TNPCEE).

Madhumati N., Director of Aspire Learning Company, said even a small percentage point in the higher secondary or in the entrance examination made a difference to a student's chances of entering a reputed institution.

Question papers

The question papers for the model test were being prepared by veteran teachers who had vast experience in teaching as well as in evaluating students.
