Hiked pension from May

Minister says amount will be released by 10th of every month


  • Pension amount has been enhanced from Rs. 100 to Rs. 200
  • All gram panchayats in Rajendranagar Mandal to get Manjeera water
  • Eligible villagers asked to enrol themselves for obtaining house sites

    HYDERABAD: The enhanced pension for old-aged, widow and others would be disbursed to beneficiaries from next month, Minister for Mines and Geology P.Sabita Indra Reddy announced here on Sunday.

    The Minister who inaugurated a series of civil works in Kokapet village of Rangareddy district said the pension which was enhanced from Rs.100 to Rs.200 would be disbursed in the villages positively by 10th of every month.

    The State Government had approved supply of Manjeera waters to all the Gram Panchayats of Rajendranagar Mandal. Of this, an estimated amount of Rs.1 crore has been sanctioned for Manjeera supply to the villages of Kokapet, Vattinagulpally, Gandipet and Narsingi, she informed.

    Eligible villagers were asked enrol themselves to avail houses, house-sites, ration cards and pensions. The officials were instructed to ensure that no eligible individual was left uncovered for the Indiramma scheme.

    Civil works inaugurated

    The Minister expressed hope that acquisition of 500 acres of land by Hyderabad Urban Development Authority (HUDA) for establishment of Satellite town and Outer Ring Road would ensure transformation of the area.

    The civil works inaugurated on Sunday include a spacious community hall constructed at a cost of Rs.20 lakh, CC and BT roads and Hi-mast lights, according to a press release.

    Satyanarayana Yadav, MPP President, Nawab Mumtaz, ZPTC Co-option member, Shankaraiah, ZPTC Member, Rajendranagar and others participated in the meeting.
