Woman's suicide case: kin stage dharna

HYDERABAD:
Parents and relatives of V. Hemalatha, who "hanged herself to death" on April 12, staged a dharna in front of city Police Commissioner's office at Basheerbagh on Sunday demanding action against her husband Shiva Ramakrishna for allegedly killing her.
They also raised slogans against the Assistant Commissioner of Police (Punjagutta division) for allegedly trying to dilute the case.
They later submitted a memorandum to Police Commissioner A.K. Mohanty seeking action against the ACP, Ramakrishna and his relatives.
Hemalatha, 23, a native of Nalgonda district, was married to Ramakrishna of Rajahmundry in February 2005.
The couple has been residing in Madhuranagar along with their close relatives.
