Vacation camp

Thiruvananthapuram: The Zero Waste Centre at Kovalam is organising a 10-day children's vacation camp on environment as part of its `Children for a toxic-free future' programme. The camp, which will begin on Monday, will be held at Bethel Upper Primary School, Kovalam. A release from Thanal said the children would be involved in classes, hands-on art and craft work, field visits, and would cover the fields of ecology, art, craft, Malayalam culture and literature, folklore and health. — Staff Reporter

Entries invited for computer training

Thiruvananthapuram: Chitrakalamandalam has invited entries for free computer training. Those from the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, and the physically challenged will get priority in selection for the job-oriented courses. Summer School 2006

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Summer School being organised by the State Central Library for children will be inaugurated on Monday morning by K.R.S. Krishnan, member secretary, Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment. It will continue till May 20. Workshops on literature, painting, sculpture, video production and stage acting will also be organised as part of the camp. Films will be screened every day. Picnics and study tours will also be conducted.

Coaching for entrance examinations

Thiruvananthapuram: The Thiruvananthapuram chapter of the Indian Homoeopathic Medical Association will conduct competitive examination coaching for aspirants of MD(Homoeo) entrance as well as UPSC and PSC examinations.
