Law books for the layman to be released

BANGALORE:
The Karnataka State Legal Services Authority, in association with Kannada University, Hampi, will release several new books under its "law books for the laymen" series, on the High Court premises on Thursday. Among the books that will be released are "Indian Constitution for layman," written by former Bihar Governor Rama Jois; "Hindu Adoption and Maintenance Act" written by Shankar Khanderi; "Environment Protection Act" written by K.M. Veerappa; "Workmen Compensation Act" written by B.V. Puttegowda, and "Human Rights" written by N.S. Sangolli.
These books, which are written in Kannada, are priced in the range of Rs. 40 to Rs. 50. A discount of 50 per cent will be given on purchasing the books on the day of the release.
The Chief Justice of the High Court of Karnataka, Cyriac Joseph, will release the books.
