Intex to strengthen presence in South

CHENNAI: Intex Technologies (India) Ltd., a player in computer peripherals, has drawn up plans to substantially increase revenue from the south by strengthening its presence in the region. Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Narendra Bansal, Managing Director, said the South had fetched the company revenues worth Rs. 43 crore in the just concluded year. Intex was hoping the region would contribute Rs. 70 crore or a quarter of the company's revenue in the current year. Though Intex has a manufacturing base in J & K, much of its products are made in China through contract manufacturing.
