Arrears for SCCL workers released
It has asked the company management to make the payment to workers by next month-end. Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, who made the announcement at a press conference, said the arrears were due to the workers as a sequel to the seventh wage agreement. They were paid 30 per cent of the arrears amounting to Rs. 160 crores in two instalments in 2004 and 2005.- Staff Reporter

Jail for 10 for running bogus institute
ELURU:
Second Additional First Class Magistrate K. Hanumantha Rao on Monday sentenced 10 persons to undergo two years rigorous imprisonment for running a bogus educational institute. The convicted persons were: Chalamalasetti Satish Kumar, correspondent, Chalamalasseti Narayana Rao, Principal, and eight others of `Ravi Post-graduate College' based in the city.
