PMC candidates file papers

PONDICHERRY: Five PMC candidates have filed their nomination on Monday for the Assembly polls.

The party's founder leader P. Kannan has filed the nomination from Modeliarpeth constituency. One set of nomination was also filed for MDMK leader Muthu as a dummy candidate for the PMC leader. The PMC leader would be taking on the sitting DMK MLA M. A. S Subramanian and the Congress rebel candidate V Sabapathi alias Kothandaraman, who also filed his nomination on Monday. Other PMC candidates, who filed their nominations, are Devadas from Raj Bhavan, `Bussy' Anand from Bussy, Jayamurthi from Arinakuppam and V Muthunarayanan from Nettapakkam constituency.
