Eight candidates left in the fray in Mahe

Four each in Mahe and Palloor regions

Pondicherry: With the withdrawal of nomination by an Independent member Badarudheen in Palloor segment in Mahe region on Monday eight candidates (four each in Mahe and Palloor constituencies) are left in the fray in the region in the context of the first phase of poll on May 3. The four-cornered fight in Mahe constituency involves the Health Minister E. Valsaraj (Congress), Vijayan (AIADMK), V. Balan (BJP) and Advocate T. Krishna Kumar (CPI-M).

Palloor constituency involves the Parliamentary Secretary to CM A V Sreedharan (Congress), Sadgamayil K Lakshmanan (AIADMK), K. Sathiyan (BJP) and T. K. Gangadharan (CPI-M).
