LUCKNOW: Unidentified gunmen on Monday allegedly shot dead two Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) workers including State general secretary of party's youth wing in Hapur town of Ghaziabad district. Uttar Pradesh Principal Secretary (Home) S. K. Aggarwal said here that State general secretary of RLD youth wing Virendra Tyagi and his associate Mukesh Tyagi were shot dead by five assailants, while the former had gone to drop his daughter at a school in the Awas Vikas Colony area. The assailants later escaped on motorcycles, Mr Aggarwal said adding that one of the criminals was released on bail only on Sunday. A manhunt has been launched to nab the killers and further investigations were on. RLD is the major ally of the Samajwadi Party-led Uttar Pradesh Government. UNI
