Swiss joins Star Alliance

NEW DELHI: Swiss has joined Star Alliance, becoming the 17th member of the world's biggest airline grouping. It would enable the international carrier to enable its customers a global network and all the benefits that alliance membership entails. "Our joining Star Alliance is a major strategic milestone,'' said Swiss CEO, Christoph Franz. Star Alliance airlines collectively operate 15,500 flights daily and some 425 million passengers board the more than 2,800 aircraft every year carrying the Star Alliance logo.
