`Big-hearted' thief

Australians David Twizenn and James Jarvis will never forget the One Day International cricket match played between India and England early this month here. Not for the merit of the match but for the hospitality experienced in Kochi.

Their wallets, which included more than 10 credit cards, one debit card, a couple of membership cards and medical insurance card were stolen when the crowd was rushing out of the stadium after the match. A couple of days later, the City Police Commissioner received a parcel containing all these cards, minus the real currency.

Since the victims had not lodged any complaint in this regard and after being unable to trace their contact addresses, the police were planning to send the bundle to the Australian High Commission.

However, the police officials were spared of that labour to some extent, as Mr. Twizenn reported at the City Police Commissioner's office and claimed his ware, after reading about the "big-hearted thief" in newspaper. Now, the police are waiting for the second victim to turn up.
