KARAIKAL: Five candidates including three Independents have filed papers on the fourth day of filing nominations on Tuesday for the following four Assembly seats. E. Jayabal (CPI-ML) filed his nomination for Kottucherry, R. Ravichandran (independent) for Karaikal (North), V.M.C.V. Ganapathy and S.R. Kumar (Independents) for Neravy and K.Ganesan (CPI-ML) for Nedungadu (Reserved). 24 candidates have so far filed papers for six Assembly seats in the district.
