Rain likely

in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI: Rainfall occurred at many places over Kerala and at a few places over Tamil Nadu and coastal Andhra Pradesh. Isolated rainfall occurred over Telangana, coastal and south interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Lakshadweep and north interior Karnataka and dry weather prevailed over Rayalaseema.

The following stations recorded very heavy to heavy rainfall in centimetres:

Varkala (Thiruvananthapuram dt) 13, Vedaranyam 11, Orathanadu and Pattukottai (both Thanjavur dt) and Mannargudi 8 each and Needamangalam 7.

Weather Forecast (valid until Thursday morning ): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Kerala and Lakshadweep. Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Andhra Pradesh and south interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather will prevail over coastal and north interior Karnataka.

Farmers weather bulletin for Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry (valid until Thursday morning): Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.

Outlook for subsequent two days: No large change
