Srikakulam: To create awareness among the prospective entrepreneurs about the immense potential in Srikakulam district for industrial development , a `Srikakulam District Parisramika Chaitanya Sadassu' will be held on April 28 at Swarnaandhra Jute Mills premises near Pydibheemavaram.

Disclosing this to newsmen here on Tuesday, president of the Federation of Andhra Pradesh Industries B.V. Rama Rao said that V. Krupanandam, Secretary, Industries, and senior officers from banks and others concerned with setting up industries would attend the sadassu. He said that the sadassu would be of great help to the prospective entrepreneurs who would go for SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises). He said that he had met Chairman and Managing Director of Andhra Bank, which is the lead bank in the district, and requested him to set up a separate branch for SMEs and open an ATM in Pydi Bheemavaram. The response was positive, Mr. Rama Rao said. A monitoring committee to oversee industrial development in the district would be set up and it would review the developments every two months.
