Big win for NIT-K
MANGALORE: National Institute of Technology-Karnataka posted an easy eight-wicket win over Canara Bank in the KSCA Mangalore zone `A' division cricket tournament for the Damodhar Pai Trophy here on Monday. Chasing 185 for a win, NIT-K reached the target with 18 balls to spare thanks to a brilliant unbeaten 72 by Ganesh.

Canara Bank 184 in 40 overs (Uday Lodhar 64, Ashok Tilawali 49, Rohith five for 40, Somashekar three for 29) lost to NIT-K, Suratkal 185 for 2 in 42 overs (Ganesh 72 not out, Subramanya 41 not out).
Earlier result: Canara Bank 147 in 38 overs (Santosh M. 35, Nikhil Kottari three for 20) lost to Mangalore Sports Club 149 for 4 in 32 overs (Brijesh 41 not out, Rithesh Mendon 28 not out).
