CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Jananayaga Congress has been registered with the Election Commission as a regional but unrecognised political party. Stating this, the party president, Tindivanam K. Ramamurthee, said that he was yet to hear from the All-India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam general secretary, Ms. Jayalalithaa, about the exact allocation of seats. "I have left the number of seats to be allocated to the Tamil Nadu Jananayaga Congress to the AIADMK chief. It was up to her to decide on the number of seats. Though, certain numbers were suggested to her, the final decision was left to the AIADMK leader," Mr. Ramamurthee told a press conference here on Tuesday. "We had a very fruitful and cordial discussion with Ms. Jayalalithaa and I am still waiting for the AIADMK party chief to call me and finalise the seat sharing," he said.
