Bangalore: The Hindu EducationPlus will conduct a mock CET (Common Entrance Test) in Bangalore, Mangalore and Hubli this month and pre-counselling guidance sessions at these places and Gulbarga in May. The mock CET will be held at St. Joseph's Indian High School, Grant Road, Bangalore, and Canara Pre-University College, Jail Road, Mangalore on April 24, and at B.V.B.College of Engineering and Technology, Vidyanagar, Hubli, on April 27. The test in all centres will commence at 10 a.m. and comprise an hour each for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. The mock CET is a precursor to the pre-counselling guidance sessions organised by The Hindu annually. At the sessions, experts from engineering and medical streams, besides officials from the CET Cell, provide insights on various aspects of professional courses and development of soft skills. At the event, it is planned to provide a comprehensive booklet on the potential of various courses. Registrations for the mock CET will be done till April 20 (between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.).
