Snowfall in Badrinath

DEHRA DUN: The higher reaches of Garhwal and Kumaon regions, including Badrinath, in Uttaranchal have received snowfall while the plains experienced scattered rains, causing a dip in temperatures, the MeT department said on Tuesday.

``There are reports of a fresh spell of snow in Badrinath and other nearby areas in the past 24 hours,'' MET director Anand Sharma said here.

The plains, including the state capital, also received one cm of rainfall while some areas experienced hailstorms, he said. PTI
