Judgment on Anna Monis murder case likely today

MANGALORE: The Second Additional District and Sessions Court here is likely to pronounce the sentence against one of the two accused in the Anna Monis murder case on Wednesday. The court on Monday pronounced the accused Sunil Fernandes and Roshan Noel D' Souza guilty of murdering Anna Monis on June 26, 2003, at Adkabaare near Bajpe under Bajpe police station limits.

Roshan passed away due to illness during the trial. Judge R.S. Beerannavar is scheduled to hear the final arguments of the in-charge public prosecutor J.I. Kittur and the defence counsel before pronouncing the sentence.
