VIZIANAGARAM: The State TDP Minority Cell has called upon minorities to teach the Congress a lesson in the ensuing panchayat elections as it had cheated them after promising moon before the elections. Speaking at the party's minority cell meeting here on Tuesday, cell State president Amir Babu Saheb said that the Congress had promised 5 per cent reservation for Muslims but failed to take concrete steps to implement it even after two years.
Attacks increased
He alleged that attacks on Muslims had increased during the present regime and that benefits were reaching only Congress cadres and leaders. Later talking to reporters, Mr. Babu Saheb said that the UPA Government had committed a blunder by supporting the US on Iran's nuclear issue. Cell State secretary Hussain Basha, TDP district president S.Ch. Appala Naidu and others spoke.
