Lecturers boycott valuation work

Hyderabad: In response to the call given by the Affiliated College Teachers Association (ACTA), Andhra Pradesh, the aided lecturers have boycotted the valuation work in Kakatiya and Osmania Universities on Tuesday.

They are demanding immediate withdrawal of G.O. 35, which bans recruitment in aided colleges and withdrawal of Act 5 of 2006, which says the unaided service cannot be counted for purpose of CAS, AAS, increments and pension.

G. Sridhar Reddy, general secretary, ACTA, said the boycott was total in Andhra, Nagarjuna, S.V. Universities.
