HYDERABAD: DyAnsys Inc, a US-based company, has announced introduction of ANSiscope, a safe and non-invasive medical equipment for detection and screening of Diabetes Autonomic Neuropathy (DAN). Sreeni Nageshwar, Chief Executive Officer, DyAnsys Inc, told reporters here on Tuesday that ANSiscope was a battery operated, portable and specifically designed for general physicians. It would help general physicians to start DAN treatment early, especially in remote areas. DyAnsys Inc would market ANSiscope through its Indian subsidiary DyAnsys India Private Limited. Mr. Nageshwar said though there had been extensive research throughout the world on diabetes and its treatment ANSiscope was the only medical equipment capable of measuring autonomic dysfunction (DAN in the case of diabetes) within five minutes. All that was required was the patient to lie down during the measurement. The equipment could be operated by non-medical staff and is handheld and battery-operated and costs Rs. 25,000. The charge for the measurement could range between Rs. 50 and Rs. 70.
