Andhra wins a thriller
VIJAYAWADA:
In a closely fought league encounter, host Andhra men defeated Telangana 14-13 in the South Zone kho kho championship at the Col C.K. Nayudu sports arena at Swaraj Maidan here on Wednesday.
Earlier, Andhra men, led by G. Srihari, who excelled both in chasing and running, defeated Pondicherry 18-7.
In the distaff section, Pondicherry defeated Tamil Nadu 19-2, while Andhra eves registered its first victory taming Telangana 9-3.
Teams from Andhra, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry are taking part in the tournament, which would conclude on Thursday. — Sports Reporter
