HYDERABAD: A young man and his lover, committed suicide by consuming poison in the latter's house at Parthiwada in the old city, on Wednesday morning. While neighbours told the police that reported opposition from their parents might have driven the two to end their lives, a note purportedly written by them said none was responsible for their death. A private factory worker Suresh, 25, of Goshamahal, was in love with Geetha, 21, a resident of Parthiwada, and an employee in a cloth centre at Koti, for the past three years, the Hussainialam police said. "Suresh used to visit Geetha at her house on and off and today he came as usual around 10.30 a.m.," the police said. Geetha was alone in the house as her mother Pochamma, a vegetable vendor and father Venkatesham, a shop worker in Begumbazar, were out. Around noon Geetha's younger brother returned home and found it bolted from inside.
Two letters found
He called the neighbours who broke open the door and rushed Suresh and Geetha to the Osmania General Hospital where the doctors declared them brought dead. Two letters were found on the bodies. One written in the name of Suresh read -- Geetha is my wife. The second one had a mobile number of Suresh's younger brother written on it and stated none was responsible for their death. Suresh's mother Pushpa is a head constable in the women's police station of Hyderabad Detective Department while his father Eshwaraiah is an autorickshaw driver.
