Water supply restored
Staff Reporter
Bangalore:
Normal water supply to the city was restored late on Tuesday night, said L.S. Khandappanavar, Chief Engineer (Maintenance) of Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB).
Cauvery water supply to the city is now back to normal, he told The Hindu here on Wednesday.
BWSSB had earlier said that water supply to the city would be disrupted on Tuesday and Wednesday following maintenance work undertaken by Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Ltd. (KPTCL) at the 220 kV Torekadinahalli sub-station on Tuesday.
"The water supply has now come back to normal as KPTCL authorities have completed the maintenance work.
"The pumping of Cauvery water resumed at around 10 p.m. on Tuesday," he added.
