"Children being beaten up"

New York: In a strong criticism of the royal government's crackdown on pro-democracy protests, global rights group Human Rights Watch on Thursday accused Nepalese security forces of ``brutally'' beating and shooting at even children as young as 12 years. The U.S.-based group also asked King Gyanendra's government to take immediate action to end all ``unnecessary use of force'' against protesters. — PTI
