Two lawyers killed in accident

ANANTAPUR: Two advocates from Hyderabad and their vehicle driver was killed and another lawyer was injured seriously when the vehicle in which they were travelling was hit head-on by a lorry near Ammavaripalle of Penukonda mandal on Friday.

According to the police, the lawyers killed in the accident were identified as Suryanarayana Chary, 50, and Narasimha Rao,48.

The driver of their vehicle was yet to be identified. Prabhudas, who was seriously injured, was taken Bangalore after first aid at Penukonda.

The three lawyers were from Hyderabad and were visiting the district as part of canvassing for the bar council elections in support of their panel.

The had visited Kadiri and Dharmavaram and the accident occurred when they were on way to Penukonda to muster support of their brethren there.

Suryanarayana Chary was a native of Madanapalle in Chittoor district and was practising in Hyderabad.

He was president of the Advocates' Welfare Association having its office at Nalgonda crossroads in Malakpet, Hyderabad. The addresses of the remaining two lawyers were not known yet.

District Collector Y.V. Anuradha, Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar Jain, ASP of Dharmavaram Akun Sabharwal and DSP of Anantapur G.S. Karunakar, who were moving on the way, visited the accident site.
