ALAPPUZHA: Leader of the Opposition V.S. Achuthanandan, KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala and Union Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi will cast their votes in Alappuzha district, their home district. Mr. Achuthanandan will cast vote at Panayakulamgara North High School in Punnapra North Panchayat in Ambalappuzha. Here, G. Sudhakaran of the CPI(M) is the LDF candidate and D. Sugathan of the DIC(K) is the UDF candidate. Mr. Chennithala will cast vote at Thripperumthura Kurattikkara School in Mavelikkara. Mr. Ravi will cast vote at Little Flower Upper Primary School in Cherthala. Another leader who will cast vote in the district is Minister for Agriculture K.R. Gowri. She will cast vote at Chathanad ward in the Alappuzha Assembly constituency. The former chief minister A.K. Antony, who hails from Cherthala, will vote in the Thiruvananthapuram East constituency and the UDF candidate in Alappuzha, K.C. Venugopal, will vote in Kannur, his home district.
