Four naxalites killed in encounter

WARANGAL: Four naxalites belonging to Praja Prathighatana Group were killed in an encounter with the police in the Katapur forest area in agency Tadvai mandal here on Friday.

One was identified as Paya Lakshmaiah alias Yadanna, who was Praja Prathighatana Warangal district committee secretary. Three othersare yet to be identified. Superintendent of Police M.S. Ravindra said on information about the movement of naxalites, special police parties were sent to comb the area. The police found the naxals moving in the forest and there was an exchange of fire.
