Chief Justice unhurt in accident

BANGALORE: Chief Justice of the High Court of Karnataka Cyriac Joseph escaped unhurt on Saturday in a road accident involving his car and a bus of the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation on Hebbal Flyover in RT Nagar Traffic limits. According to the police, the bus driver tried to overtake the car on the left side when the accident occurred. The driver abandoned the bus and fled, the police said. The RT Nagar Police have seized the bus.

Woman run over

A 35-year-old woman was run over by a car in the Devanahalli Police Station limits on Sunday. The police, who gave the name of the woman as Rathanamma, said she and her husband, Pillaswamy, were riding on their motorcycle to a marriage at Kaivara when the accident occurred.

The police said Pillaswamy, resident of Kuluvarayanahalli near Rajanukunte, who was riding the motorcycle, could not avoid a road hump near Kannamangala Railway Gate and he and Rathnamma lost balance and fell off the motorcycle.
