KCR to meet Keshava Rao

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Union Labour Minister and Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) president K. Chandrasekhara Rao is likely to meet Pradesh Congress Committee chief K. Keshava Rao in a day or two.

The TRS president on Sunday telephoned Dr. Rao, while the latter was in Gandhi Bhavan and expressed his desire to meet him here. Mr. Chandrasekhara Rao is coming to the city on Monday. The meeting assumes significance in wake of his meeting with AICC president Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi last week.

The TRS leader's claim that the bill on creation of separate Telangana State would be placed in the monsoon session of Parliament had created ripples in political circles. In view of the reported statement, his meeting with Dr. Rao is expected to be crucial.

Asked to comment on Mr. Rao's remarks, the PCC president told reporters that he was not in a position to say what transpired between the two leaders.

"One party president met our party chief in Delhi," he said, refusing to entertain more questions.
