PATIALA: A major fire broke out on Sunday in a heap of fodder that was stacked in a stable outside New Moti Bagh Palace, the private residence of Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, official sources said. An official spokesman said the fire assumed alarming proportions as the heap of fodder was huge, but no damages, either to property or to the horses were reported. He said the fire was ignited by a spark in the electrical wire that ran over the stack of fodder that was stored for the a stable. Two fire tenders were immediately rushed to the spot and it took more than one hour to bring down the flames, they said. Singh was away to Delhi and his wife local MP Preneet Kaur was also not present in the Palace when the fire broke out. - PTI
