Career mela from today

Programme on bonsai

The Institute of Architecture and Design, National Academy of Construction, is offering a summer programme on bonsai on April 28. This will be followed by training programmes in curtains and valences, stained glass, fountain making, glass painting, ceramic mosaic, tiffany lamps and home garden/roof and terrace garden, cactus water garden lawns, according to a press release. Meet on speaking skills

A workshop on speaking skills for children in the age group of 10 to 15 years is being organised by Media Junction from May 19 to 21. Only a batch of 25 students will be allowed. Details can be had on phone no. 9391325568.

Blood donation camp

The Sant Nirankari Mandal will organise a blood donation camp on Monday at Lakdikapul from 10 am to 1 pm. Elsewhere in the country, 51 blood donation camps will be organised to commemorate the sacrifice of its former spiritual head Baba Gurubachan Singh.

A free eye and dental check-up camp will also be organised on the occasion, according to a press release.

Staging of Telugu play

Sreekala Niketan, a well-known theatre group, will enact a Telugu play "Bakasura" at Ravindra Bharathi on Monday at 6.30 p.m. The Sangeeta Nataka Academy, Delhi, has extended financial assistance to the play.
