Woman found strangled to death

BANGALORE: A 60-year-old woman was found strangled to death at her house in Netaji Nagar in K.P. Agrahara police station limits on Sunday.

The police said Diyavani, who was alone in the house after her husband, Ramakrishna Nadan, left for shopping, had been strangled to death with a pillow.

The police said the culprits had taken away ornaments and cash after murdering Diyavani.

Food poisoning

As many as 35 labourers working at a construction site in Doreswamipalya on Bannerghatta Road have been admitted to hospitals in the city with complaints of food poisoning.

According to the police, these labourers were working at the site near Apollo Medical Centre.

They ate idli and puliyogare in the morning. Later, they started vomiting and were taken hospitals.

Murdered

A lorry driver allegedly murdered his wife on Saturday in the Madiwala Police Station limits, the police said.

According to the police, Raju (35) hit his wife, Geeta (31), with a stick on her head and strangled her at their house at Parappana Agrahara Layout.
