Programmes to mark Rajkumar's birth anniversary

P.B. Srinivas to inaugurate a programme in which singers will render the actor's songs

Bangalore: Aniketana, a cultural forum, will organise several programmes to mark the 78th birth anniversary of actor late Rajkumar here on Monday.

According to a press release here on Sunday, the programmes will be held at the National College Grounds.

At 10 a.m., several artists will draw pictures and make paintings of Dr. Rajkumar. S.G. Vasudev, Chandranath Acharya, U. Bhaskar Rao, C. Chandrashekhar, J.S.M. Mani, N. Manishyamachar, Krishna Setty and Rekha Rao will participate.

Artistes will perform songs from Dr. Rajkumar's films in the evening.

Renowned singer P.B. Srinivas will inaugurate the programme, according to the release. Shimoga Subbanna, C. Ashwath, Puttur Narasimha Nayak, Yeshwanth Halabandi, Ratnamala Prakash, B.K. Sumitra, Manjula Gururaj, Sangeetha Katti and Archana Udupa are among the few who are expected to participate in the programme.
