Mr. Venkatachalaiah said the essays in the book, including those about the men and the women Mr. Sharada Prasad came across during his career and the interesting behind-the-scene happenings, were classic examples of the writer's talents. The chief guests, photographer T.S. Satyan, historian Ramachandra Guha, and former Additional Chief Secretary Chiranjeevi Singh, heaped praises on the writer. While Mr. Ramchandra Guha spoke on contemporary history and Mr. Sharada Prasad's writings, Mr. Satyan spoke about his friendship with Mr. Sharada Prasad. Mr. Chiranjeevi Singh spoke on "public life and Mr. Sharada Prasad". Mr. Sharada Prasad spoke about his love for Kannada. Stressing the need for the growth of the language, he pointed out that he used to even write his leave letters in Kannada.
