MRF sales and profit up

CHENNAI: MRF has reported a higher sales and other income of Rs. 880.76 crore for the three months ended March 31, 2006 against Rs. 702.81 crore in the corresponding period in 2004-05. After providing interest and depreciation, the profit before tax stood higher at Rs. 9.27 crore against Rs. 1.26 crore. After providing Rs. 3.43 crore (Rs. 48 lakhs), the net profit has risen to Rs. 5.84 crore from Rs. 78 lakhs.
