Dry weather prevails over Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI: Isolated rainfall occurred over coastal and north interior Karnataka. Dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, south interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

On Monday, the maximum temperature rose at one or two places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, fell at one or two places over south coastal Tamil Nadu, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were markedly above normal at one or two places over south interior Karnataka, appreciably above normal at one or two places over rest south interior Karnataka, coastal Karnataka, Rayalaseema, above normal at a few places over Tamil Nadu, south Kerala, at one or two places over rest south interior Karnataka, rest coastal Karnataka, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and generally normal over the rest of the region.

Ananthapur and Medak recorded the highest maximum temperature of 42 degree celsius in the region.

Forecast (valid until Thursday morning): Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over interior Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Mainly dry weather will prevail over coastal Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Farmers weather bulletin for Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry Forecast (valid until Thursday morning): Isolated light to moderate rain is likely to occur over interior Tamil Nadu and mainly sunny weather will prevail over coastal Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.

Outlook for subsequent two days: No significant change.
