MUMBAI: Airtel on Tuesday joined hands with Disney to launch the country's first `Disney Mobile Theatre'. With the launch, Airtel will provide Disney with branded mobile entertainment content for the first time in the country. India's cricketing icon Sachin Tendulkar did the launch honours by downloading the first clip amidst a group of excited young children at a function here. Airtel customers will now be able to have access to six Disney animated series in the form of 30 second slots exclusively made for mobile devises featuring Disney characters. In addition to this, Airtel customers would also have access to Disney characters in any form they want, be it animation, images, videos, ring-tones or games. This content can be downloaded from Airtel's multi-access entertainment portal, Airtel Live! and music and sounds as ring-back tones can also be downloaded from Airtel's Hello Tunes. Speaking on the occasion, Hemant Sachdev, Director-Marketing and Communications, Bharti Airtel, said ``we have always admired the Disney brand for the difference it makes across the globe, bringing fun, laughter and wholesome entertainment to millions of people. Rajat Jain, Managing Director, The Walt Disney Company, India, said India was a priority for the entire company, and their strategy was to expand their presence here. This launch marks Walt Disney's first mobile carrier distribution deal in India with the company already having mobile content distribution in 12 other markets in the Asia and Pacific regions. UNI
