Sivaganga: Forty-one candidates are left in the fray for five constituencies in the district. All DMDK candidates have been allotted `murasu' symbol. Following is the list: Ilayankudi: Ayyasamy (AIADMK), R.S. Rajakannappan (DMK), Theivendran (BJP), Manimaran (DMDK) and seven others. Thirupattur: K.K. Umadevan (AIADMK), K.R. Periakaruppan (DMK), S. Sivaraman (BJP), Alaguraj (DMDK), Akbar (BSP) and Lakshmi (independent). Manamadurai: Gunasekaran (AIADMK), K. Paramalai (Congress), Mayandi (DMDK), Alwarsamy (BSP) and four others. Karaikudi: O.L. Sellaiah (AIADMK), Sundaram (Congress), Durai. Baskaran (DMDK), Raman (BJP), Alagappan and Mohamed Haneefa (independents). Sivaganga: S. Sevanthiappan (MDMK), Gunasekaran (CPI), C.R. Balu (DMDK), Rajasekaran (Ind) and six others.
