Coalition running well, says Yediyurappa

No differences with Kumaraswamy, says Deputy Chief Minister

`Even if God comes in my dream and tells me the BJP-JD(S) coalition is off, I will not believe it'

BANGALORE: Both Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy and Deputy Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa on Tuesday sought the draw the curtain on the spat between the coalition partners witnessed over the weekend by declaring that the coalition was running well.

"Even if God comes in my dream and tells me the Bharatiya Janata Party-Janata Dal (S) coalition is off, I will not believe it," was the declaration made by Mr. Yediyurappa with the Chief Minister by his side.

Soon after announcing a tie-up with the Life Insurance Corporation of India to administer the Bhagyalakshmi welfare scheme for the girl child, Mr. Yediyurappa said the two-and-a-half-month-old partnership was running on well-oiled wheels and there were no differences at all between the Chief Minister and himself.

Mr. Kumaraswamy too said everything had been said on the subject, and Sunday's outburst in Kollur, when he had said he was ready to face elections, was only to reiterate that he would not remain in office "for one moment" if the trust was lost in the partnership.
