Murder case: collectorate employee arrested

THALASSERY: An employee in the District Collectorate was arrested on Tuesday in connection with the murder of Vibheesh (22) at Eranholi here last week.

The police arrested M.C. Sanju (21) of Nettur here, who is working as a lower division clerk in the District Collectorate in the morning.

He had entered into the Government service last month.

The body of Vibheesh, who was studying first year B.Sc. in a parallel college here, was found tied to a tree at Kundurmala at Eranholi here on April 19.

There were deep stab injuries in the neck of the victim.

According to the police, Sanju and Vibheesh were close friends. The police said that the arrested admitted to having physical relationship with Vibheesh.

The police said that the motive for murdering his close associate was his desire to end the relationship.
