NIZAMABAD : Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu was filled with remorse for neglecting party workers for five long years during his party rule from 1999 to 2004. Admitting that he did not spare time to them as he was under the impression that if he could find even a five-minute leisure as Chief Minister, it could be used for development of the State. "I longed for doing something good for our State. That forced me to spare whatever time available to the administration resulting in gap between you and me," he said. The former Chief Minister was addressing party workers' meeting here on Tuesday. He devoted a major part of his speech to referring to the importance of party workers and how TDP workers were being subjected to political vendetta and harassment.
